Support
Get Involved! Volunteer:
The Colonial Center for Performing Arts is run by a dedicated staff of artists and professionals, but we can’t do the work alone! We rely on our volunteers to help bring the best in performing arts and education to the Southside Virginia area. By giving your time, you are supporting the community and working with individuals equally committed to bringing in quality acts and providing a fun, safe entertainment environment. If you are interested in volunteer, download our Volunteer Application and email it to lepps@colonialcenterva.org. You may also print this and mail it to The Colonial Center. Call Lauren Epps at (434) 262-4170 for additional information.
Donate in Kind:
If a gift of cash does not suit your organization’s giving goals, gifts of support through goods and services are extremely valuable and helpful to us, too! Email lepps@colonialcenterva.org about your interest to donate in-kind or call (434) 262-4170 so that we can work together to make it happen!
Facility Rentals:
The 400-seat Colonial Theatre is available to rent for concerts, benefits, parties, performances, corporate and business meetings, and civic gatherings.
Colonial Replicas:
The Colonial Center sells wood replicas of the Colonial Theatre, created by Hometowne Collectibles, Inc., for $20 each. Make checks payable to the South Hill Colonial Theatre/CDA.
Name-a-Seat Program:
You can help! For a $500 tax-deductible donation, supporters can sponsor a theatre seat in the auditorium. The sponsored seat back will have a plaque with the name of the donor on it. Donations may also be made in memory or in honor of someone. Each sponsored seat will serve as a permanent testimony to the donor’s commitment to renovate this historic treasure.
Show Sponsorship:
Your company or organization can sponsor a community theater production or professional show. There are many benefits, whether you are a partial or full sponsor.
Ovation Circle Membership:
Corporate contributions reflect an organization’s commitment to the community. By giving to The Colonial Center for the Performing Arts, your business will demonstrate a deep sense of commitment to quality of life for both your employees and your larger community.
Prior registration is required for all workshops.
Call (434) 262-4170 for more information or to register.
All workshops and materials are provided free-of-charge and are made possible, in part, through funding provided by the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional performing arts workshops will be added as time progresses.
